Literature Review for International Recruitment and Selection Introduction Setting up and expanding business operations in international markets gives rise to the need of hiring individuals from different nationalities and cultures. These individuals form a diverse workforce which brings a lot of challenges for the organizations in their recruitment, selection, and human development processes (Dowling Welch, 2008). Managing this workforce in an effective and efficient manner has become one of the most complex issues for multinational organizations. The selection, placement, compensation, training, development, and motivation of the workforce are far more complex processes in international assignments than at the local level (Robbins, Judge, Sanghi, 2007).
